NEBOSH Training Course Content for the General Certificate

Our students study two units, of which one is book-based learning, with the other more practical. There are two assessments and their costs are included in the course price.

Unit NG1: Management of Health and Safety

Course participants learn about:

  • Why it’s crucial to manage health and safety at work effectively
  • Health and safety management systems, what they look like and how they work
  • Managing health and safety risk and the types of processes and people involved
  • Tracking and measuring health and safety levels at work

After completion of Unit NG1, students take an open book assessment/exam. This is taken in the comfort of their own home.

Unit NG2: Risk Assessment

Course participants learn about:

  • Workplace physical and psychological health
  • Workplace musculoskeletal health
  • Chemical and biological agents in the workplace
  • General issues in the workplace
  • Workplace equipment
  • Fire safety
  • Electricity safety

Upon completion of Unit NG2, they take a practical workplace-based risk assessment.
