How is the NEBOSH General Certificate Assessed?

This qualification is assessed in a two-step process.

NG1 is an open-book examination that assesses the knowledge obtained during NEBOSH training. This includes a closing interview in Leeds where you will be asked questions about your submission.

NG2 is a practical risk assessment test to assess what you can do. The test will take three hours, and learners will be asked to complete a risk assessment and develop a health and safety plan for their workplace.
