Whether you are designing for offline or online publishing you want to get it right and our InDesign training courses enable you to do exactly that.

InDesign has grown to become the most widely used desktop publishing tool on the market today, yet the number of people who only use 10% of its features is staggering. It's not because they don't need the rest, it's just that they don't really know how to use them or what they do.

InDesign Getting Started is aimed at users who are new to the InDesign package, teaching best practice right from the start and allowing you to make the most of InDesign's powerful array of tools.

The course is made up of 2 days of instructor led InDesign training which can be completed either at our London or York facilities or your own location. This is taught by our Adobe Certified InDesign Instructors who have all had many years of experience using InDesign and have passed the InDesign ACE exam. This is then built on through 12 months access to our learning management system containing video tutorials, samples, exercise files and support forums.

This InDesign course is suitable for anybody who wants to learn to use InDesign but has no previous experience. If you're already experienced with InDesign you might find our Advanced InDesign Training Course more appropriate.

This course is a beginners InDesign course. You should however be comfortable using a computer to perform functions such as copy and paste, and opening applications and files. You should also be comfortable using the internet, for example for browsing and interacting with websites.

Upon completion of this course you will be able to create your own documents from scratch, such as flyers, adverts, magazines, business cards, reports, newsletters and more using InDesign.

You will be able to layout and format pages with text and images, create re-usable color swatches, work with styles and masters to quickly format your pages, as well as apply effects such as shadows or transparency. You will also be able to prepare your document for output, identifying and correcting any potential errors before outputting it into an appropriate format for print or screen work.
